The data for the third quarter of 2024 from the labor market of the Basque Autonomous Community reflects 4,500 more employed people and 3,400 fewer unemployed than the previous quarter, according to data compiled by Eustat.
The number of unemployed is estimated at 76,700 and the number of employed at 997,100 in this third quarter of 2024, representing the highest quarterly result since 1985.
The unemployment rate in Euskadi is 7.1%, four-tenths of a percentage point less than in the second quarter of 2024. Due to the evolution of the employed population and unemployment, the activity rate in the third quarter is 56.5 % 2024 one-tenth less compared to the previous quarter.
