In the municipality of Kapfenstein (Styria), at least one gas cylinder probably exploded on Monday morning and completely set a farm on fire. The fire brigade is still on duty and the Kölldorferstraße is closed.
In southeastern Styria, 70 firefighters are still at work: Monday around 10 a.m., a commercial building in the Kölldorf district of the Kapfenstein municipality was on fire. There is also a residential building next to it.
Fire under control, roadblock in place
The cause may in any case have been one exploded gas cylinder, which is stored in the building and thus also makes extinguishing work more difficult. The fire was under control at 11:30 a.m., but firefighters from the area are still on the scene.
The L 219, Kölldorferstraße, is also currently closed. A redirect has been set up.
