Cat “Jenny” had been missing since February 2, and now a happy ending came for the owners from Eastern Styria.
“Jenny” is the animal treasure in the home of an Eastern Styrian family. “She has been with us since she was a baby, lives with my grandmother,” says Stefan Fink. Unfortunately, due to her advanced age of 18, her health has been going downhill lately: “‘Jenny’ is almost blind and has difficulty hearing.” But one day she must have lost her footing and she was gone.”
“Grandma Was Desperate”
The site was searched and the neighbors notified, “but we were unsuccessful. We, especially Grandma, were desperate. Our fear was that she had hid somewhere to die or that she had been brought together by a car.”
Found by animal rights activists
Now Andrea Huber, dedicated animal rights activist from the Weiz “Pfotenbrücke”, has posted a photo of a cat found – and immediately treated by a vet – on the internet to find out the owner. Fink, networked with Huber on social media: “We couldn’t believe it, that was our ‘Jenny’! We immediately went to get them.”
The animal was exhausted, “but she immediately demanded her food”. The amazing thing after being missing for months: “She was found 500 meters from us, must have crossed streets and a railway line. But we don’t know where she was before or who fed her.”
