Incorrigible: An ex-convict (35) happily continued to rob. Now he is back in custody.
He spent ten years behind bars for specializing in robberies, while he was cared for in Mama’s apartment in Vienna. However, Raffael S. was released in early 2017, went into hiding in the Dominican Republic and is back. Not with mom, but back in the harbors. Because the 35-year-old would have happily continued his criminal energy.
The list of his coups is impressive: On April 3, 2020, he allegedly stormed a Bawag branch in the Großfeldsiedlung in Floridsdorf and shot at a 58-year-old customer – the woman survived! On the other hand, a security guard was seriously injured in December 2018 when a bullet from the alleged robber hit him in the thigh.
Man was a master of disguise
The fact is, according to the police, that Raffael S. was a master of disguise – he would have worn a burqa, latex, corona masks or Norwegian hats during his coups. However, he never left any traces. Until his (for now) last robbery.
The robbery in Vienna went awry: The 35-year-old allegedly shot his MP twice on a cash transporter and fled with cash – this time there were clues leading to his mother’s address and triggering a terror alert. A loaded Scorpion MP and a bullet vest were found in the elevator shaft. Raffael S. wants nothing to do with it. He is quiet.
