The Alpine police and the mountain rescue had to move to Hochlantsch (Styria) on Saturday evening. Two Hungarians (49 and 46) had misjudged a climb and called the emergency call completely exhausted.
The two men planned to climb the “Franz-Scheikl-Klettersteig” to the top of the Hochlantsch (1720 m) in the late evening. However, the two mountaineers must have completely misjudged this trek – they were progressing very slowly. At the last steep step they finally had to give up completely exhausted.
