The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. The 78-year-old was driving on a municipal road and wanted to park in a parking lot. His partner (70) was in the passenger seat. “Due to a sudden engine roar and acceleration, the car drove over a seven-foot embankment and collided with a car on the lower parking level,” police said.
The 70-year-old man was seriously injured in the accident. Rescue workers took her to the hospital in Reutte. There was serious damage to both vehicles.
