Climate activists of the “last generation” are once again causing traffic jams in early morning traffic in Innsbruck on Tuesday morning. This time the protests are taking place in the area of the Kranebitter Allee/Fischerhäuslweg intersection in the west of the city. There are also blockades in Vienna again.
“Off the gas”, “We are racing into climate hell”, “100 km/h is enough”, “No new drilling” – with familiar letters on banners, the climate activists once again drew attention to their concerns and demands.
“Because It’s About Our Survival”
“People in Innsbruck are getting in the way of fossil fuels. Why? Because it’s about our survival. Where are the first, simplest security measures?” the last generation posted on Twitter.
Many commuters are probably less sympathetic to these types of protests. There are currently huge backlogs on the Kranebitter Allee. Protests were again announced for Tuesday morning in Vienna.
