A serious accident occurred on Monday afternoon on Traunuferstraße in Thalheim near Wels. A young motorcyclist crashed into a car and was run over by an oncoming motorcyclist while lying on the road.
A 21-year-old from Thalheim was fatally injured. At around 1:15 p.m., he steered a two-wheeled motorcycle on L563 Traunuferstraße from Schleissheim towards Thalheim, entered the path of oncoming traffic and collided with a car driven by a 49-year-old van Thalheim. The 21-year-old man ended up on the road as a result of the collision.
The second motorcyclist also fell
As a result, a 59-year-old from Wels, who was also driving in the direction of Schleissheim, collided with the motorcycle he was driving with the 21-year-old and also fell in the process. The 21-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The 59-year-old was also seriously injured in the accident and had to be taken to the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic with the C10 emergency doctor helicopter. The driver of the car was not injured. During the registration of the accident, the L563 Traunuferstraße was closed until 3:50 p.m.
