Turbulent scenes Tuesday morning at the “Last Generation” climate demonstration in Innsbruck: three drivers went wild and made it unmistakably clear to the activists what they thought of the nature of the protest. A motorist then poured yogurt over an activist’s head. A report was made of the three – one suspect was even briefly arrested.
Climate activists of the “last generation” caused traffic jams in Innsbruck’s early morning traffic again on Tuesday morning. This time the protests took place at the Kranebitter Allee/Fischerhäuslweg intersection in the west of the city. Countless motorists were angry about the demo – three of them really panicked.
“They were loudly expressing their displeasure”
“They have loudly expressed their displeasure,” a police spokeswoman told the “Krone”. One of the three drivers ended up pouring yogurt on an activist’s head.
Report and arrest
A total of eleven police patrols were deployed, whose task was actually to divert traffic. After the situation had escalated for a short time, the three drivers were reported to have violated public order or decency. A suspect was provisionally arrested because he did not want to reveal his identity.

The demonstration finally broke out around 8:45 am. There were 27 climate activists on the scene. These must take into account a report under the Assembly Act.
