Female murderer Josef K. has to go to prison for twenty years. The Oberlandesgericht Linz dismissed his appeal.
The jury unanimously found Josef K. (62) guilty of the murder of his neighbor Eleonore A. (81) in November 2022. Twenty years in prison for the bloody act with 28 stitches. The retired plumber filed a complaint of nullity and appeal. But the Supreme Court rejected the appeal. On Tuesday, the senate of the higher regional court in Linz was on the train. Josef K., who always protested his innocence, wanted a lesser sentence at second instance. But he was turned down by the judges with his request. The verdict is therefore final.
K. was transferred via DNA evidence in 2022. Detectives found 14 traces in the victim’s apartment. And that despite the fact that K. had always claimed that he had never been to Eleonore A..
