Camp discovered – beggars illegally living in the rubbish with small children

Date:

You would not wish such a tragic fate on any child! In a dilapidated house on Wiener Strasse in Linz, the police, investigative and security services have set up an illegal beggars’ camp. Small children were surrounded by excrement and rubbish.

Before Corona, it was much more common for Eastern European aid travelers to hide in tents, for example at the chemical roundabout, in underpasses, but also in old Linz demolished houses, before they were discovered and expelled as part of coordinated actions by the city police command and the investigation service .

Neighbors complained
Such a seizure has now happened again in an abandoned building on Wiener Strasse/Wahringerstrasse. The police, investigative and security services became aware of the house due to complaints from local residents. When they excavated the illegally used accommodation, they found a total of eleven people, including four children between the ages of one and thirteen. The picture that was presented to the officials was again shocking: the people lived with the children between excrement and mountains of rubbish.

A fire has started in the room
Moreover, those arrested probably had more luck than sense after lighting a fire directly on the wooden floor in one of the occupied rooms. FP boss Michael Raml knows: “Massive structural, safety-related and hygienic deficiencies also endanger the immediate environment.” Six official documents were “handed over” to the people found there due to existing administrative fines. One person was arrested on the spot because of an outstanding alternative prison sentence.
