Italian tightrope walker Andrea Loreni performed a unique feat: on Friday afternoon, he crossed the route between two Milan skyscrapers – the Bosco Verticale and the Unicredit Tower – on a steel cable at a height of 140 metres.
With his tightrope performance, the 48-year-old opened “Bam Corcus”, the international circus arts festival in Milan, which will run until Sunday. Numerous visitors followed the show on large screens and applauded the tightrope walker after the crossing. The spectacle lasted about 25 minutes in total.
A piece of music composed and performed by the musician Cesare Picco accompanied the individual stages of the crossing. Loreni, who has a past as a street performer, is known for his daring performances in several countries around the world, including Thailand, Japan and Israel.
