Four strangers were looking for the safe in a laundry center in Innviertel in Upper Austria. When they broke in at night, they apparently didn’t shy away from the sweaty work of loading the 350 kilo piece into their VW Polo.
This coup probably involved professionals at work, even though the getaway vehicle caused some degree of head shaking. Despite 15 cameras, burglars struck in a large car wash in St. Florian am Inn.
Well prepared
At least four perpetrators went to work masked, with long-sleeved T-shirts so that any tattoos could not be recognized, and without a registration number on their VW Polo. “They must have waited until there were no more customers on site, then they broke in around 1:50 am,” says Gerald P. (25), head of the car wash.

Video recordings of the perpetrators’ actions can be seen for about twelve minutes. “They broke down three doors, loaded the 350-kilogram safe into their small car and fled with it.”
Silver gray getaway car
A wheelbarrow was also used as part of their “hard work”. The four suspects may have come from Suben’s direction and then left in the same direction. It is not known whether they switched the silver-gray getaway car on their route. P.: “In any case, we have further upgraded our alarm system.”
