A gang of four youths committed mischief in Vienna-Floridsdorf on Monday night. Apart from some suspected shots at the train station, the youths scared the hell out of shoppers with a gun drawn. They then shot a visitor and an employee in the face with an empty pistol.
Viennese police were alerted to suspected shots fired at Floridsdorf train station. When officers arrived a short time later, the suspects had fled.
Eyewitness confronts young people
Before that, one of the four strangers went to a store and took out a gun there, loaded it and then left the store again. A 26-year-old witness then tried to stop the youth gang. One of the youths, armed with a knife, steered towards the witness. The dispute then shifted to the station square.
Victim shot in the face
A store employee was able to observe the scenario and came to the rescue of the man. One of the youths pulled out a stun gun and fired into the faces of the two victims. He hit the witness and the employee in the face and also on the upper body.
Gang of youths fled
The four people then fled. Alerted emergency services from the Viennese professional rescue service also took over the emergency medical assistance on site. The 26-year-old was taken to hospital with suspected bang trauma. The 32-year-old refused the ride.
The manhunt continues
According to witnesses, the four alleged youths had two knives and two pistols with them. The investigation to find the perpetrators is in full swing. An immediate search did not yield the desired success.
