Two women (aged 38 and 42) came running from a downtown Viennese restaurant at 1 a.m. Wednesday morning with cuts and stab wounds in the area of their hands. A 52-year-old man is suspected of having attacked the two victims with a knife while intoxicated.
In the Parkring area, the two women ran out of a bar around 1am on Wednesday and called for help. According to the Viennese police, a man would have injured the two women in the restaurant with a knife. A witness immediately alerted the police.
Officials performed breath analyzes
After the officers arrived on the scene, the management was able to observe the two alleged victims and the 52-year-old suspect. The man had a knife in his hand. The officers asked the suspect to drop his knife. The 52-year-old immediately complied with the request and was provisionally arrested.
An alcohol test was then carried out on the Austrian. The man had 1.7 promille in the blood.
