On the night of Wednesday, burglars in Pongau in Salzburg surprised three campers in their mobile home. They stole valuables twice, only a 46-year-old Ukrainian woman outsmarted the unknown thieves.
The three mobile homes were parked at a petrol station on the Tauernautobahn in Flachau when the residents slept on Wednesday night. Unknown perpetrators broke into the vehicles. They found a few hundred euros in cash in the mobile home of a 43-year-old German. They ripped the man’s bike out of the rear carrier.
The perpetrators found a small amount of money and a USB stick with a 53-year-old Swede. The thieves also tried to break into a 46-year-old Ukrainian’s house, but failed. But the woman, who lives in Germany, was prepared. She had fastened the driver’s and passenger’s seat belts. The burglars stayed out.
