The head of the mercenary group “Wagner”, which is considered particularly cruel, Yevgeny Prigozhin is currently on tour in Russia. One of their goals is probably to report honestly to the Russian people about the situation at the front. Putin’s cook strongly advocates general mobilization and the death penalty.
After the withdrawal of his mercenaries from the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, Prigozhin now presents the project “Wagner. Second Front”. Until now, no one knows exactly what that means. The independent Russian news portal “Medusa” reports this.
The portal assumes that the “work trip” is aimed at military-patriotic education of young people or at informing the Russian population about the problems of Russian soldiers in Ukraine. It has long been a thorn in the billionaire’s side that the Department of Defense only shares embellished information. He makes no secret of it and in this context also likes to use the repertoire of the so-called Russian Mat – a swear language that only Russian knows in this form (we reported).
Don’t want to be president
He has already visited the cities of Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk and Nizhny Novgorod and held press conferences there. The content is always the same. In jeans and a quilted jacket, he casually explains to journalists that the war would be long and general mobilization in Russia should be declared immediately. The death penalty must also be reintroduced and the country must be transformed into a planned economy. He always emphasizes that his mission should not be considered a political activity. He has no plans to create a party or become president of Russia. He can be seen in the following tweet during his speech in Nizhny Novgorod:
About the death penalty
According to Prigoschin, the death penalty should be reintroduced in order to punish war crimes more severely – otherwise the war could not be won. For example, if the military commissar treats the heroes disrespectfully, the court-martial must look into the matter. And then perhaps it would make sense, continued Wagner’s boss, to invest a patron in the inspector.
General mobilization and planned economy
“We are now facing a hard war,” Prigozhin warned. He didn’t know how long it would take, but he had a prognosis up his sleeve. Donbass can be liberated within two years. Kiev could be conquered in three or four years. The entire society must now be mobilized and, in addition, production of all ammunition, weapons and everything else needed must be fully ramped up.
Russia must now stand on its own two feet
There is a lot to do in the country, Prigozhin noted. You have metal, gold, people, electricity. The Russians could also feed themselves. But those who imposed sanctions on Russia would only treat the Russians right again on one condition: kneel down and beg forgiveness. “If people are willing to do that, they will forgive us. If we are not ready, we must be prepared for a long war,” Prigozhin concluded.
