An Innviertel driver was probably trapped for several hours in the car wreck after an accident near Überackern (Upper Austria) on Wednesday night. It was only when a driver happened to pass by that the rescue chain started.
A driver passing by chance found a car involved in an accident on L 1026 (Unteradenbergstraße) on Wednesday morning at 05:00 am lying on its roof in an adjacent wooded area. He hadn’t seen the wreck itself, but he had glimpsed light reflected from the license plate. The 39-year-old from Überackern immediately provided first aid to the local driver and alerted the emergency services. The woman must have waited helplessly for hours for her rescue.
Wounded incarcerated
The 30-year-old driver had run off the road with her vehicle. When the car overturned, the woman was trapped in the wreckage with head injuries. After the difficult and lengthy recovery by the fire brigade, she received first aid from the emergency doctor and was taken to the Braunau hospital. The accident site was impassable during the rescue work.
