Tyrolean arrested – petrol spilled into the bank and threatened with fire

Shock for the employees of a bank branch in Bad Häring in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein on Wednesday: a local (36) spilled petrol and threatened to set the building on fire. Apparently he wanted his insurance money faster.

The dramatic scene took place around 10am. According to a police spokesman, the 36-year-old entered the bank branch carrying a jerry can and a lighter. “He spilled the gas on the floor, took out a cloth and threatened to start a fire.”

However, the 36-year-old did not ask for money from the bank. “He’s waiting for his insurance to pay. He wanted to get paid faster.” An employee managed to flee outside and call the police. “Four officers managed to enter the bank through a window and get the situation under control.”

Cobra was already on his way
No one was injured in the incident. The fire service took care of the cleaning of the petrol. An ambulance was on standby for safety. “The Cobra was also alerted. However, their intervention was not necessary.

The Tyrolean was arrested. Apparently, he is not officially known until now.
