Eyewitnesses discovered a three-day-old pony foal at a tennis court in Viehhofen in Pinzgau on Saturday. The animal seemed disoriented and disturbed. Two agents took care of the cute four-legged friend. Finally there was a happy ending.
It was Saturday morning when the witnesses reported to the Zell am See police station. A civilian police patrol with the two officers Sophia-Theresa Unger and Elisa Cantonati immediately rushed to the scene. Since there were no other ponies, horses or any owner in sight, the two took the pony foal “in custody for now,” according to the executive press release. It was clearly hungry. So the policewomen drove the animal to a nearby horse breeder.
There the sweet foal came to rest and received the foal milk it needed to survive. In the meantime, the police, with the support of the horse breeder, have started looking for the foal’s owner. This was quickly found. The foal was returned unharmed to her pony mother.
