Englishman Sam Hutsby achieved his second Challenge Tour win, 9 years after his first, on the third playoff hole against Frenchman Julien Sale, taking him to 21st place on the Road to Mallorca. The less friendly face was lived by Manuel Elvira with a bogey and a double bogey bid farewell to victory and was relegated to 9th position with 275 (-13), two away from entering the tiebreaker.
Exciting finish to the Andalucía Challenge in Cádiz. Sancti Petri saw a huge playoff between six players (they finished tied at 273 shots, -15) with Hutsby emerging victorious, having not won on the Challenge Tour since the Kazastan Open in 2014.
Spaniard Elvira closes out a week that started and finished at par with the field (72 strokes) with two good laps of 66 and 65 on Friday and Saturday. A first victory on the Challenge Tour will have to wait, although it is getting closer thanks to the experience he has accumulated throughout the season.
After Elvira, in 15th place, finished Iván Cantero and Manuel Morugán, both with -10.
