Belgian faked his death for Lesson

Date:

A 45-year-old Belgian appeared by helicopter at his own funeral service. A bad joke, but with a serious ulterior motive.

Actions like this explain why David Baerten from Belgium is nicknamed “Ragnar le fou” (Ragnar the Mad).

‘Our family has grown apart’
This time, the influencer had set herself the goal of teaching numerous family members and acquaintances a lesson in cultivating interpersonal relationships. “Our family has grown apart,” explains the 45-year-old TikToker.

“didn’t feel appreciated”
“I was never invited to an event and I felt unappreciated.” So he wanted to teach those around him a lesson about life – “and showed that you shouldn’t wait until someone is dead to meet them”.

Users condemn the macabre action
With the help of his wife and adult children, he posted an obituary and organized a farewell party in the countryside near Liège. Dozens of grieving relatives and friends appeared as a helicopter landed in the meadow next door and the presumed dead stepped out. Many were overcome with emotion, weeping and rejoicing that David was alive. Opinions differ on the internet, however. For example, one internet user says about the video of the macabre action: “If someone plays such a tasteless joke on me, then the friendship is over!”
