Wild scenes took place in a bar in the Gries district of Graz on Saturday: a 19-year-old allegedly injured two people with glass bottles, after which he also attacked police officers who intervened.
In a bar in Graz/Gries, a 19-year-old Hungarian who lives in Graz got into an argument with a man from Salzburg (47) shortly before 7 a.m. on Saturday morning. The young man first threw a whiskey bottle at the 47-year-old, and immediately afterwards another bottle flew in his direction. The Salzburger was hit in the face and suffered a serious injury.
The woman suffered a laceration
One of the bottles also reportedly hit a 27-year-old woman sitting in the restaurant in the head, causing the woman to suffer a laceration.
The 19-year-old was arrested and taken to the police station. According to the Styrian police, the man showed extremely aggressive behavior upon his arrest and verbally insulted the officers who intervened. More studies will follow.
