The good news after the terrible accident: the six-year-old girl who fell into a tree during a trip to kindergarten on Friday is not in danger.
As reported, a kindergarten group went on a trip to the Hochsteinalm in Traunkirchen on Friday. 13 offspring took part in the walk, including six-year-old Aurelia.
Wind uprooted tree
Although the accompanying adults checked the weather before departing, the wind picked up sharply shortly after the excursion began. A gust of wind uprooted a 50-foot tree. The accident took its course.
Helicopter to hospital
The six-year-old was hit by the falling tree and was seriously injured. The little girl first had to be taken in her father’s car to the nearest helicopter landing site, from where she was flown to Kepler University Hospital in Linz.
The hospital issued a light all-clearing at the request of the “Krone” on Saturday: the girl is not in danger of life.
