One accident followed another – after a car accident on Monday on the B18 between St. Veit an der Gölsen and Traisen (Lower Austria) ended fatally for a 73-year-old woman, the rescue was on its way to the scene of involved in the accident itself.
A fatal accident occurred in the Lilienfeld district on Monday. The 73-year-old died after a traffic accident. A man behind the wheel of the other car was injured. The accident caused a traffic jam of one kilometre.
Collision between car and ambulance
A motorist was apparently impatient and wanted to turn his vehicle around. He collided with an ambulance on its way to the scene of the accident. The two rescuers suffered minor injuries. The impatient driver was also injured.
The second collision happened about 200 meters from the scene of the first accident. The injured have been transported to Lilienfeld Hospital. The B18 was closed for about two hours.
