Firefighters free stork from can

Date:

In France, the fire brigade has now freed a stork from a drink can. The animal was stuck in the can with its beak and was therefore unable to eat or drink.

He had to stay in this predicament for more than two weeks. A farmer first discovered it with the can. He wanted to help the animal, but it flew away again. The farmer was able to snap another photo, and many people in France expressed concern about the stork on social media. The beverage company Coca-Cola, where the can comes from, was also asked to help the bird.

On Tuesday, schoolchildren in Burgundy near the town of Tournus finally discovered the animal. This location is about 200 kilometers from where the stork was first sighted with its beak in a can. The fire brigade then came with a drone to locate the bird and caught it with a net.
