A Hungarian military helicopter with three people on board crashed in Croatia on Wednesday. The accident happened in the hinterland of the Dalmatian town of Šibenik. Two of the three crew members are dead, the third is missing.
The rescue services found the wreckage and two bodies in the gorge of the Čikola River, the head of the mountain rescue service confirmed. The third crew member is still being sought.

According to the media, the Hungarian helicopter was in Croatia for training. The crash happened around noon near Krka National Park. The cause of the accident was initially unclear. According to a report from the news portal “ŠibenikIN”, the helicopter was said to have touched the ropes of the local zip line while flying low in the canyon.
