Tragic accident at the airport of the American city of San Antonio in Texas: A worker was sucked into the tarmac by an airplane engine. The man died.
The machine of the US airline Delta was being rolled to the gate with one engine running on Friday evening when the incident occurred, the US transportation authority said when asked on Sunday (local time). “We are heartbroken and saddened by the loss of a member of the San Antonio aviation family,” Delta said in a statement.
The plane came from the metropolitan area of Los Angeles and landed at San Antonio International Airport in the US state of Texas. Investigators are still investigating how the fatal incident happened.
