The demonstration starts at 10 am from the Basque Parliament and ends at the Lehendakaritza. The union call comes after the Security Council member described the attitude of the Ertzaintza unions as “unreal, irreconcilable and absolutely irresponsible”.
The trade unions ErNE, ESAN, Euspel and SiPE have called on the ertzainas to demonstrate this Tuesday in Vitoria-Gasteiz, after the Security Council, Josu Erkoreka, last Friday denounced the unions’ approach of a “linear increase” for the entire police force.
In a joint statementthe trade union centers have indicated that “given the creeping attacks from the Basque government that the ertzainas are receiving, tomorrow is the most appropriate day to respond”, in the manifestation that goes from the Basque parliament to the headquarters of the Lehendakaritza. “We are not going to solve anything this way. Focus”, they demand from Erkoreka, “In Gasteiz, despite this attack, we must show that we are one, demonstrate without any symbol or brand that distinguishes us from each other. It is our commitment”, they insured.
In this sense, they ask the ertzainas to participate in the demonstration “shoulder to shoulder, all the same and pushing in the same direction” and remember that registration for organized buses to attend the mobilization is still open, which begins at 10 a.m. : 00 am.
