A concerned mother filed a report on Monday evening when her 11-year-old daughter and her 12-year-old boyfriend did not come home in the municipality of Bleiburg in Carinthia.
“The children drove off with their e-scooters and never came back,” police said. At first, the children could be reached by mobile phone: “Then the two said they were lost in the forest area of Rinkolach,” it says. After a two-hour search by the parents yielded no results, the police were called.
“The patrol car crews from the police stations at Bleiburg 1, Völkermarkt 1, Griffen 1 and Tasso 1, supported by the police helicopter and volunteers, were immediately involved in the search,” said an official.
Search successful
And the intensive efforts paid off: around 10 p.m., the police helicopter discovered the two children unharmed in the area of the Globasnitzbach, where it flows into the Rinkolachbach. After their rescue, the children were placed in the care of their concerned guardians.
