23 fire brigades were engaged in a large fire in a carpentry workshop in Taufkirchen an der Trattnach in Upper Austria on Tuesday evening.
The fire brigade was alerted to a fire late on Tuesday evening and within a short time a large production hall was completely on fire. A huge contingent of emergency services from at least 23 fire brigades – alarm level 3 was activated – was then deployed to the carpentry workshop in Taufkirchen an der Trattnach, which was completely on fire.
Long supply lines
Around midnight, the large contingent of emergency services was able to largely contain the flames. A spread to other companies could in any case be successfully prevented. Supply pipes for the extinguishing water had to be laid over great distances. At least one firefighter had to be treated on the spot by the emergency services. The cause of the fire was initially the subject of a police investigation.
The railway was interrupted
The adjacent Wels-Passau railway was also interrupted for about two hours.
