The action went twice as bad: a 26-year-old from Rohrbach (Upper Austria) had robbed a Chinese restaurant on Tuesday and even pulled out his gun. He escaped without taking anything and has now been caught.
The alleged robber apparently lost his nerve in the middle of the attack: As reported, a young man wearing a balaclava entered a Chinese restaurant in Rohrbach on Tuesday night. He threatened the landlady (43) and a 24-year-old waitress with a gun and demanded money. The landlady remained calm, picked up the phone and threatened to call the police. The robber then grabbed his feet and fled.
Track leads to 26-year-old
A large-scale manhunt by the Cobra, the rapid reaction forces (SRK), service dog handlers and various police patrols initially had no results. On Thursday, however, the detectives managed to track down the alleged perpetrator: a 26-year-old Rohrbacher is accused, he has already been arrested.
Theft was a spontaneous idea
The police found murder clothing, a murder weapon and a mask with the suspect. At the request of the public prosecutor, the man was transferred to the prison in Linz. During his interrogation, he stated that he spontaneously decided to rob because of money problems.
