Problem for many public transport users Friday morning: the U4 is currently experiencing longer waiting times between the Schottenring and Spittelau stations due to a major malfunction. The limited operation was already causing chaos in early morning traffic.
Operations between the two stations had to be diverted due to signal failure. “At Rossauer Lände and Friedensbrücke stations, trains in both directions stop at platform 1,” explains Wiener Linien on its website.
Several passengers speak of delays of up to 45 minutes in each direction. The end is not yet in sight at the moment.
Switch to other lines
Wiener Linien asks passengers to transfer to lines U1, U2, U3 and lines 1, 2 and D. According to Wiener Linien, it is not yet possible to predict how long the disruption will last. We are working on the problem at full speed to prevent further delays.
