An incredible tragedy happened in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. An eight-year-old boy joined the Chongde Juying Martial Arts Sports Club in the busy port city on June 17. But the boy paid for his first training with his life. His martial arts trainer beat the novice, injuring the child so badly that he died from his injuries.
On June 18, the parents of the boy – whose name is not known – received a video. In it you see her son training. The boy looks “unusually pale” and his legs are covered in bruises.
The video also shows the boy collapsing on the floor. A harsh woman’s voice sounds: “If you continue like this, your mother won’t pick you up for a year, she told me!” reports the “Straits Times”.
Emergency services alerted too late
According to medical records The Paper accessed, the boy’s heart stopped 20 minutes before he arrived at the hospital. His trainer informed the emergency services much too late.
Three people associated with the club have been arrested, including the manager. The martial arts club was closed and had not opened until April.
