At 12:00 a motorist hit an 11-year-old girl with her vehicle. In the afternoon, a seven-year-old boy was hit by a car on Troststrasse in Favoriten.
A 47-year-old motorist drove through Sieveringer Strasse towards the city center in the afternoon. At the same time, an eleven-year-old stepped onto the road behind a bus. The driver saw the girl too late and the accident happened. The child fell to the ground and was injured.
The girl received emergency medical care from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and was taken to a hospital.
Second accident with a child in the afternoon
The next accident happened in the afternoon around 5.10 pm – a 42-year-old motorist was driving on Troststraße in the direction of Triester Straße. At the same time, a seven-year-old wanted to cross Troststrasse. A collision between the two ensued, causing the seven-year-old to fall and injure herself.
Witness ‘deeply shocked’
A reader-reporter from “Krone” was there live and could see the terrible accident from her window. “I was deeply shocked and couldn’t believe what had just happened,” the witness said.
