Drunk and for fun, a 41-year-old allegedly shot a chicken in his enclosure at 4 a.m. during target practice with a friend in Upper Austria. An aunt learned from her cousin what his stepfather had done and called the police. Officials seized eight firearms and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition and imposed a gun ban.
A concerned family member told police around 11:30 am on Saturday that she had learned from her cousin that his 41-year-old stepfather was drunk and doing target practice with a friend in Ried im Traunkreis around 4 am. A chicken that had been in an enclosure was killed.
There were two police patrols there
The informant’s mother and four other children were found there. The mother and her eldest daughter (17) confirmed the shooting practice and stated that they were awakened by the noise around 4 a.m. A dead chicken was also found in the enclosure.
