Kelag’s announcement to raise the electricity rate caused uncertainty among many. This was shown during the “Krone” phone hour – Kelag sales manager Alexander Jordan answered questions from our readers.
Most of the 180,000 Kelag customers had received a letter from the Carinthian energy supplier in recent days with two unpleasant words: increase and decision – linked together in many difficult-to-understand formulations. “Such a letter must be drafted legally without error and that is really not always easy to read,” admits Alexander Jordan, Head of Sales at Kelag. The logical consequence: a deluge of calls to the headquarters of Kelag, where currently 30 employees and 60 hired helpers from an external service provider have to answer 4000 questions a day (1000 in normal times).
