A 64-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries on Sunday. He crashed his bicycle in the Weissensee.
The holidaymaker from Germany came on his e-bike from the east bank on a narrow hiking trail towards Neusach. In the area of the “Steinwand” he suddenly lost his balance and fell backwards with his e-bike 20 meters over steep and rocky terrain into the shallow water of the Weissensee.
Seriously injured
An acquaintance and walkers immediately provided assistance and alerted the emergency services. The man was rescued by water rescue boats and the local fire brigade and taken to Villach hospital with serious injuries.
