A hiking trip along the German-Austrian border ended on Sunday for a young man with a spectacular helicopter ride. He had slipped on a stone in the Kesselbach, had to be rescued by 90m deaf rescue and then flown to hospital in Bregenz.
The man walked on Sunday in the area of the German municipality of Scheidegg along the Kesselbach, which forms the border with Vorarlberg. Climbing into the creek, he slipped on a rock and injured his shoulder so badly that rescuers had to be alerted.
Flew out of the canyon
Due to the difficult terrain, the rescue of the victim on Earth was difficult, so the Austrian emergency helicopter “Christophorus 8” had to be called in. The hiker was eventually flown out of the canyon using a 90-meter long mountain rope.
For further treatment of his shoulder injury, he was flown by the crew of “Christophorus 8” to the state hospital in Bregenz.
