It could have turned out much worse: in the Tyrolean town of Erpfendorf, a motorist lost control and almost fell into a pond. The 35-year-old was not injured, but there was a lot of clarification with the police…
On Monday around 8.10 pm, the Hungarian drove his car on the provincial road from Kössen towards Erpfendorf. For unknown reasons, he ended up on the right side of the road onto a straight stretch of road. It drove over the adjacent green verge and came to rest on a sloping embankment.
threatened to crash
The car threatened to fall into the adjacent pond. The Erpfendorf fire brigade and a towing company recovered the vehicle using a towing crane.
Double reason for notification
During the subsequent check, the officers found that the 35-year-old did not have a driver’s license. He underwent a medical examination, which also revealed that he was incapable of driving due to an addiction disorder. Notification is made to the competent authority.
