A day after the fatal attack on former Russian submarine commander Stanislav Rschitzki, Russian detectives said they had already caught the murder suspect. It would be about a 64-year-old Ukrainian karate master.
Immediately after the bloody act, the Ukrainian secret service started the following theory: “Apparently he was liquidated by his own people because he refused to carry out the orders of the military leadership.” As a submarine commander he had been involved in the shelling of the city of Vinnytsia. The city had been bombarded with sea-launched Kalibr missiles. But at some point Rschitzki refused to use these “weapons with great risk to the civilian population,” according to Kiev.
Surveillance videos presented as “evidence”.
But now, during the arrest of the Ukrainian martial artist, Moscow has also published “evidence” in the form of recordings from various surveillance cameras. This shows Rschitzki running. A little later you see a man riding a bicycle. Another shot shows the cyclist stopping and entering a bar. The man’s face is blurred.
In a longer compilation (see tweet above) you can also see the arrest of the murder suspect. You see a man crouching on the floor wearing only boxer shorts. Next, the suspected weapon and silencer are shown. It is unclear what motive the father of six children and former head of the Ukrainian Karate Association should have.
