A mother from Styria had to go through frightening minutes in Carinthia on Saturday. Her one-year-old child was locked in the car in Stockenboi township. Probably a defect in the central locking was the cause.
The 37-year-old Styrian told emergency services that she strapped her one-year-old child into the child seat and then closed the car door. When the holidaymaker wanted to get in at the driver’s door, she noticed that the car could no longer be opened, so she made an emergency call.
The Stockenboi volunteer fire department rushed to free the toddler by breaking the side blocks out of the car. The sprout received first aid from the rescue service and then taken to hospital for a check-up.
