A lot of body damage and an injured woman caused a rear-end collision in Graz on Friday. A 22-year-old driver apparently did not see a column ahead of him in time and started an evasive maneuver, which resulted in several collisions. A total of five vehicles were involved in the accident.
At around 11:15 p.m., a 22-year-old Croatian drove his car in the right lane in the Eggenberger Belt area in a northerly direction. A parked car at a car dealership caused several vehicles to reduce their speed, causing the car in front of them to suddenly change lanes. The 22-year-old suddenly saw the motorcade, braked and tried to swerve to the left. He hit the rear left side of the car in front of him, which in turn was pushed into a parked car.

During his evasive maneuver, the Croat also hit a car driving next to him, injuring the 30-year-old pregnant passenger to an undetermined degree. But that’s not all: While steering back into the right lane, the 22-year-old crashed into another vehicle in the convoy. All five vehicles involved sustained an undisclosed amount of damage.

The 30-year-old was taken to the LKH Graz by the rescue service for medical clarification, the other vehicle drivers were unharmed. DThe Eggenberger Gurtel was closed for several hours in a northerly direction.
