Script-ready criminal case in Lower Austria: A 31-year-old allegedly tried unsuccessfully to kill her partner twice – only to take him to prison with a fake murder attempt.
Chapter 1 – The Poison Cocktail:
In July 2022, two months after she was immortalized in the will as the sole heir of more than three million euros, the suspect (the presumption of innocence applies to her) allegedly served her partner a “special drink” of schnapps and pure methanol. The 41-year-old was in a coma for four days and became almost completely blind. The girlfriend spoke of an “accident”, but there was a divorce and the annulment of the will.
Chapter 2 – The fictional suicide:
After an alleged pregnancy, the couple got back together in October. And the 31-year-old came back in the will. “Surprise”: Two weeks later, the almost blind 41-year-old returned to the hospital unconscious and with a cut on his forearm. An alleged suicide attempt, as his girlfriend put it on paper. You wanted a divorce. Which the so-called fatigue of life knew nothing about. She had given him pills containing alleged nutritional supplements (as it turned out sleeping pills and antidepressants) before dinner – after which he passed out. It is unlikely that he inflicted the cut himself. And so it came again to the divorce and the changing of the will. This time, however, the victim filed a report. And the investigations against the ex started.
Chapter 3 – The Engineered Assassination Attempt:
Two months ago, the woman was taken to hospital with stab wounds. An alleged murder attempt of her almost blind ex-boyfriend, who allegedly traveled ten kilometers in the rain on a bicycle. Her minor daughter handled the version. Now (as reported) the bang: the suspect who had been in jail until then was released, instead the alleged victim was taken into custody. Criminals and prosecutors are convinced that the woman inflicted the injuries herself – or had an accomplice for it. The traces of blood found on the alleged suspect would have been placed in a targeted manner. “At first she wanted his money, but because of the ongoing investigation, she panicked that she would be exposed. She wanted to divert attention from herself and portray him as a villain,” speculates one researcher.
