Next protest – Day 7: Climate activists stick to the Naschmarkt

Date:

The activists of the last generation again drew attention to the current climate crisis on Tuesday morning and caused chaos in morning traffic. At around 8 a.m., they clung to the streets near the Naschmarkt and again caused traffic congestion. The police are already on the scene to interrupt the action.

After the climate stickers caused a stir with their mega protests last week, the second week is far from over.

Over 30 degrees in Vienna
In addition to the chaos on the entire construction site and the heat wave in the coming days, these disruptive actions will probably cause even more nuisance among motorists. It was not until Monday morning that the climate stickers paralyzed three locations in Vienna, which caused dissatisfaction among road users in morning traffic.

Because this time they blocked not only in the city, but also on the A23. The announced “interference wave” in Vienna should continue for several weeks with individual breaks in between. How long remains unclear.

Tempo 100 in Austria
In addition to the announced tape actions, sit-in strikes and marches, there will also be some surprise actions this time. “It will be intense, we will also use creative forms of protest,” activist spokesman David Sonnenbaum announced. Their message has remained the same: 100 km/h on Austrian roads and a ban on fracking.
