The fat streaming years are over. According to a recent survey, users of Netflix and Co. are struggling. with “subscription fatigue”. The reasons for this are as diverse as the challenges faced by the providers. But there is a key to success.

Until recently, the streaming world was fine, it was even thriving – recognizable by the steadily increasing streaming times and subscription numbers. But consumer habits have changed, according to management consultancy Simon-Kucher’s “Global Streaming Study,” which surveyed nearly 12,000 consumers in 12 countries in May 2023 on streaming behavior, content preferences, and willingness to pay, among other things. The results surprise.
