Wild scenes took place in Vienna-Leopoldstadt on Tuesday evening. A 25-year-old attacked a group of musicians on the street with a broken glass bottle. Observant passers-by immediately alerted the emergency services.
In the middle of the night, the Syrian attacker attacked the unsuspecting group of musicians and, according to police, injured a 35-year-old in the hand. Fortunately, the group of musicians were able to fend off further attacks and detain the 25-year-old until police arrived.

The alerted rescuers immediately took the 35-year-old injured man to hospital after emergency medical care. The attacker was temporarily arrested by the police. The glass bottle was also seized.
According to the police, the attacker previously sat down with the Colombian musicians uninvited until they asked him to leave. He confessed during interrogation and was released. The investigation is ongoing.
