A letter that the VW group is currently sending to its dealers, which covers most diesel cars built between 2000 and August 31, 2017, is somewhat explosive: it cannot be ruled out that “the manufacturer will call back or the authorities will call back or others Measures, including against vehicle owners, can be imposed, which can go as far as a withdrawal of the registration certificate against the vehicle owner or a ban on use.” Dealers are warned to inform interested parties and to have a customer information sheet signed.
