Victim (52) killed – murderer from Schallmoos is a ghost for the police

Date:

The Salzburg police are still in the dark after the violent death of furniture mover Stefan M. (52). There is still no trace of the perpetrator and the murder weapon. The neighbors are worried: “It’s just not a nice feeling!”

Who killed Stefan M. (52)? And with what? The detectives are still asking these questions after the violent death of the furniture mover in an apartment building in Salzburg-Schallmoos.

No hot lead
Because even a month and a half after the murder, there is still no hot lead to the suspect. This creates uncertainty and a sickening mood among the neighbors. “It’s just not a good feeling to know he’s still on the loose,” says an elderly man. A neighbor adds, “I thought they’d have it soon.”

Prosecutors keep a low profile
Prosecutor Elena Haslinger declined to comment on the investigation. For “tactical investigative reasons”, that is, not to give information to the perpetrator, it is said. The research pressure is high. The responsible colleague wrote “orders without end” – ie extensive investigative measures.

The police attaches importance to the announcement that the trace analysis has not yet been completed. And: “The investigations are going in all directions. The victim’s environment is also being investigated.”

Death by brute force
The victim’s third-floor apartment was searched on May 31 after an acquaintance called for help. A police officer climbed in through a window using a fire ladder and found the dead man. The situation at the scene and the condition of the body suggested an unnatural blunt force death. Police students and dog handlers combed the area for the murder weapon. Without success.
