A 78-year-old motorcyclist fell after a collision with a car in Vienna-Margareten on Friday and was seriously injured. However, the driver of the car was not injured.
At around 2:45 p.m., both a car and a motorcyclist were driving in the middle lane of Margaretengurtel. Both drivers simultaneously switched to the leftmost lane because an emergency vehicle was behind them with the blue lights on. When changing lanes, there was a collision between the car and the motorcycle.
The rescue service took the 78-year-old to a hospital after emergency medical care. The 23-year-old driver of the car was not injured.
The traffic accident control has taken over the investigation into the accident. The initial investigations showed that the drivers of the vehicle were not affected.
